1. Describe two major differences from Map 1 to Map 2. Map 1 shows the areas where the different native american tribes were established. Map 2 in contrast shows American territory rather than native american territory. Map 1 represents America without colonists, while Map 2 shows the differences and territories changed after colonists arrived at America.
2. Describe three major differences from Map 2 to Map 4. In map 2, it shows the eastern coast of America and the settlements that were established there during 1780s-1800s.
In map 4, it shows the western coast and the seperate territories owned by the U.S.
Between the two maps, there is a clear time difference, Map 2 being based around 1780-1800s and Map 4 being around the 1850s.
3. List several Native American tribes that were affected by the United States Government expanding into the Territory Northwest of the Ohio R (River) in 1787. When the united states government expanded into the territory north west of the Ohio River, during te 1787's, many Native American tribes were affected, some of which include the following.
Kickapoo, Sauk-Fox, Monomini, Winebago, Ottawa and Illinoia.
4. List several Native American tribes that were affected by the USexpanding as a result of the US buying the Louisiana Purchase from theFrench in 1803.As a result of the Louisiana Purchase, many Native American tribes and factions were affected. Some tribes included the Kansa, Waco, Wichita, Santa Domingo, Kiowo, Brule, Oglala and the Sana Arc, whom were most likely forced to relocate. Some native american factions that were affected included the Cheyenne, Pawnee's and the Sioux.
5. In the upcoming lesson, you'll explore the major differences between Native Americans’ and Settlers’ ideas about land, and what happened when these two groups wanted to live in the same area. Using prior knowledge and the maps above, infer what will happen when these two groups wanted to live in the same areas.
Most likely, when the Native Americans and the settlers attempted to live in the same area, or migrate to thesame area, conflict would occur. This is because using past evidence from the maps you can tell that neither group would stand for others to live on their land. More over, Native Americans would most likely to be the ones pushed out of the way as in most of the maps, the Americans were shown to be the ones whom are "pushing aside" the Native Americans, so to speak. In other words, when both groups attempt to settle in the same area, conflict will occur and most likely, the Native Americans will be pushed out.
